come on in and take a seat (and a photo or two!)

It's been really fun and really interesting trying to draw up our dinner guestlist!

Still pretty terkilan I had to trim my guestlist, though. Our initial '100pax per person' arrangement was already quite tight for me to work with, so I had a pretty massive internal battle within myself when we had to whittle it down to 80pax per person instead. Dilemma wanita seh sekejap :(

The reason why we initially listed down 200pax was because we very pandai pergi allocate 10 seats to 1 table but then realized that meja kahwin Melayu much smaller than the usual ones we see at Chinese wedding banquets. So kena potong from 10pax to 8pax to 1 table lor. End up total 160pax instead of 200pax lor. Bo pian lor. Suck thumb lor. Balik rumah telan panadol pastu tido lor.

But generally the guestlist planning process has been quite fun heehee (Also pretty challenging - sungguh tercabar dan tergugat organization and public relations skills aku yer) and I'm so glad I found this awesome app lurking around in iTunes store to help me organize the list:

You can add any number of tables and chairs you want and name or number them and then choose cute little icons for your guests then choose which seats to allocate them to! So mother bloody useful! Nak cium whoever came up with this app! Hur hur. Ok nah, sample of how it looks like:

The best part is I can churn this out as a PDF (or Text copy, whichever), send it to my email address and I'll get a PDF copy of the planning I've done on the app + List of guests punya names, contact details and table numbers set out in alphabetical order. Pastu boleh print to use for registration! No need to buat double job and type out on Microsoft Word from scratch, one! Swee or what.

The only meh thing about this whole guestlist planning thing is not knowing whether the guests we're planning to invite will be happy and available to attend our reception come next year and if so, whether they'll have a +1 to bring along.

I was just lamenting to my mat the other day about how I wish there's a way to:

(1) make everyone like everyone (HAHA eh siak ah crucial pe bila part allocate seats); and

(2) know who's going to be single or have a boyfriend or girlfriend or have children by the time our wedding comes around next year hahahahaha

Time time gini ah bagus kalau ada simpan Nujum Pak Belalang belakang esbok.

TAPI TAKPE. We've already talked it through and sorted out our dinner guestlist a little less than two hours before we went for 2NE1's New Evolution Global Tour 2012 (Singapore Concert) last weekend (Naega jeil jal naga!) aaaaaaannnddd we've more or less finalized the guests we're inviting for our dinner reception. Of course the ultimate final guestlist will depend on our guests confirming their attendance nearer to the date - what I've heard from others is that you should always expect only 80% attendance for such wedding events. We'll see whether there's some truth to that when we start inviting people for real and for sure late September next year!

In the meantime, to end this off, a little awesome treat for us and our dinner guests come 2013:
